This Woman on Tinder Lost Both Her Limbs But Not Her Incredible Sense of Humor

Mandy Horvath, a 26-year-old Colorado double amputee, is back on Tinder, and her fan base is increasing. Mandy’s wicked sense of humour is a big part of why people swipe right when they view her dating profile. Mandy has also done an excellent job of tailoring it to her upbeat attitude.

Mandy Horvath’s Tinder profile demonstrates that her disability, or anything else for that matter, will not stop her.

Mandy is a busy woman when she isn’t cracking jokes.

“I’m a full-time banquet cook at Briarhurst Manor Estate in Manitou Springs, working under our new head chef, Sean Evans,” she explained. “At the moment, I’m a full-time online student at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.”

Mandy joked that her dating life is very scarce, referring to herself as the bionic bachelorette. “But, aside from the humour, I’m a picky eater.” It’ll take an unique kind of man to bind me,” she continued. “Dating with a double leg amputation is interesting, but you have to create a picture sometimes.” Let folks know that it’s fine to joke, and that I encourage them to do so.”

After her drink was tainted and she was run over by a train in 2014, Mandy lost both of her legs.

“In 2014, I was struck by a locomotive and had my legs severed just above the knee as a result of the accident.” Doctors originally mistook her for a suicide attempt, and it was too late to test her for date rape medications by the time she could explain the circumstances. Mandy avoided online dating after her injury because she was too self-conscious, but after viewing a YouTube video on dating as a disabled woman, she decided to give it a try.

“I don’t like to think of myself as crippled; I prefer to think of myself as different.” Dark humour has always been a relief for me, and I enjoy being able to brighten someone else’s day with a joke.”

“I genuinely enjoy getting on the app to troll and trade jokes, and I’ve met a lot of pals from all over the county.” But I’ve had a handful of strange encounters as well. I would advise everyone to exercise caution when using any social media app. I’m going to call myself the bionic bachelorette until someone holds my sight.”

“Smile, and don’t forget to smell the roses.” If you’re interested, you can find me on Instagram. It’s legit that I crawl about and do nice stuff on occasion.”

More and more people are falling in love with Mandy every day.
